For all of our registered clients, If your pet needs emergency treatment during our opening hours (8.30-6pm Monday & Tuesday,  8.30-7pm Wednesday, 8.30-6pm Thursday, 8.30-5pm Friday, 9.30-1pm Saturday, call us on 01463 572424.

Outside of our normal opening hours we offer our own out of hours emergency treatment and care to registered clients only (out of hour charges apply). In a true emergency out with our opening hours your call will be transferred directly to our out of hours call handler who will transfer your details to our on call vet.

Out-of-Hours Veterinary Advice

We understand that pets can sometimes become unwell or require veterinary advice outside our normal opening hours. Our out-of-hours service allows you to speak directly with a veterinary surgeon who can assess your concerns and advise you on the best course of action.

The telephone consultation allows our veterinary surgeon to discuss your pet’s symptoms, assess the urgency of the situation and advise you on the most appropriate next steps.

If Your Pet Needs to Be Seen

If the veterinary surgeon advises that your pet needs to attend the practice for an examination, you will only be charged the applicable out-of-hours consultation fee — the telephone advice charge will not be added to this fee when the initial call is made.

For example, if you call before 10 pm and, following the telephone assessment, your pet needs to be examined at the practice, the charge will be £195 in total, rather than £195 + £25.

Similarly, if you call after 10 pm and your pet needs to be seen, the charge will be £290 in total, rather than £290 + £36.

Any additional treatment, medication, diagnostic tests or procedures required during the consultation will be discussed with you and may incur additional charges.

Our out-of-hours service is designed to ensure that you can speak to a veterinary surgeon when you are concerned about your pet, while helping us determine whether your pet needs urgent veterinary attention.
